  • 1834: gold nuggets discovered in the Gilbert River
  • 1949: Discovery of Eastern Metals Au, Ni, Cu, Co deposit
  • 1950: Discovery of the Champagne Cu, Zn, Ag and Pb deposit
  • 1950: The Ascot gold-bearing quartz vein discovered adjacent to The Timmins Zones
  • 1951-1953: Timmins Zone auriferous quartz vein system identified by trenching and diamond drilling
  • 1960´s: Bulk samples taken from three pits excavated in selected veins produced a weighted average of 10.63 g/t Au (0.31 oz/t Au) from a total of 39.3 metric tons (43 short tons) of material
  • 1976: sampling and metallurgical testing conducted by Privex Mines Ltd.
  • 1985: Golden Hope acquires its initial Bellechasse (Timmins) property
  • 2003-2004: Golden Hope Mines and joint venture partner Osisko Mining drill the Timmins 1 mineralized zone
  • August 2006: New management takes over Golden Hope Mines Limited
